Palestinian AFP photographer Mahmud Hams has won the prestigious Visa d'Or News prize for his coverage of the conflict in Gaza, the Visa pour l'image Association announced Saturday.
Four AFP journalists from the digital investigation department travelled to Sofia, Bucharest and Budapest, in March and April 2025 to provide fact-checking training to journalists and journalism students.
AFP announces a partnership with video agency Newsflare, which specialises in collecting, verifying and licensing UGC videos.

AFP held a digital investigation workshop on Wednesday 12 February for Brazilian journalists preparing to cover the COP30 – the 30th session of the UN climate change conference –, to be held in November 2025 in the Amazon, in the city of Belém.
